The third week in October marks National Forest Products Week. It’s a time to appreciate the thousands of wood and paper products and environmental services that come from working forests.

Arbor Day is a special holiday to celebrate the wonders of trees and the thousands of ways trees touch our lives every day. In Idaho, Arbor Day is celebrated the last Friday in April each year.

Teacher workshops, forest tours, classroom materials, resources and student contests.

This project aims to encourage, recognize and support the creative and innovative use of Idaho wood in architectural design through design competitions at the professional and university levels.

This tour provides Idaho thought leaders a first-hand opportunity to learn about Idaho forests, forest management and how wood and paper products are made. Participants visit the woods and meet people who own, manage and work in Idaho forests and forest product businesses.

Teachers and Counselors receive VIP treatment while exploring Idaho mills and forests.

This competition is designed to encourage, recognize and support the creative and innovative use of wood in structural design at the university level.
